Hudson Bend Ranch is your most coveted destination wedding venue in Austin.

Best described as a cross between Austin Botanical Gardens and a Texas Ranch, our serene ranch nestled in the Hill Country landscape provides the perfect rustic backdrop for breathtaking events. Set on five private acres on the Hudson Bend Peninsula of Lake Travis, we are right outside of Austin and minutes from marinas, parks, boat rental, shopping, nightlife, and food! We are designed to help you conveniently enjoy time with family and friends. We have celebration spaces to host weddings, receptions, family reunions, corporate events, yoga retreats, and more. All spaces are pet-friendly and we have ample on-site parking.

Meet the owner of the ranch

Steven Ray

Steven grew up on a Texas ranch then spent his entire career in the computer business. He went from wide open spaces to congested airports, packed convention centers, and crowded freeways, but that never let him lose his love for the natural outdoors. In 1999, Steven purchased a plot of land which became his canvas—Hudson Bend Ranch. He now spends his time tending to the natural landscape and wildlife at the ranch, while welcoming visitors in to share the oasis he’s created.

  • Yes, we love pets! We even have them as participants in weddings. We also have a large dog park with dog houses, shelter, and water.

  • Both packages include lodging for up to 19 overnight guests. We can accommodate for up to 25 guests with additional lodging added on a la carte.

    The Laurel Package accommodates up to 50 wedding guests.

    The Juniper Package accommodates up to 100 wedding guests.

  • The Laurel Package accommodates 30 cars.

    The Juniper Package accommodates 40 cars.

    If your car count exceeds that number, we encourage car pooling and ride share.

  • Both packages include lodging for 3 nights for up to 19 guests in Casadecas and Sunrise Casita. Additional lodging can be added a la carte, accommodating up to 25 guests.

    There are many AirBnbs, hotels, and additional lodging within a 10 minute drive from the ranch. Feel free to ask us for recommendations!

  • Hudson Bend Ranch adjoins private residences. Sound levels, measured 50 feet from the source shall not exceed 85 db up to 10:30 pm. Sound levels, measured 50 feet from the source, shall not exceed 70 db from 10:30 pm till midnight. All music must stop at midnight. Honking horns, car alarms, or other excessive noise are prohibited.

  • Yes, all decorations must be pre-approved.

    No adhesives, nails, tacks, staples, cutting, and non-bio-degradable confetti are allowed without our approval.

    Please remove all decorations after the Event and inform us in advance of any tents or other structures that will be used for your Event.

    Fireworks, candles, and open flames are NOT permitted.

  • We welcome those with disabilities. We have tried to make the Venue handicap accessible. However, please understand that our venue consists of historic structures. It’s impossible to make all of the structures wheelchair accessible without damaging their historic integrity. If you know that guests with disabilities will attend your Event, please let us know so that we may do our best to accommodate them.
